Mrs. Lisa Smith serves as Cornerstone’s Chief Compliance Officer. She is responsible for administering the firm’s compliance program. Her dedication and attention to detail – along with the skill and desire to communicate clearly – make her well suited for this responsibility.  Her ongoing risk analysis and systems review help to ensure that our firm’s policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. 

Experience

Since joining Cornerstone in 1996, Mrs. Smith has provided support in numerous areas including operations, IT, client communication, and the preparation of Charitable Remainder Trust tax returns. She was an English teacher prior to coming to Cornerstone. She has also assisted in coordinating events, developing marketing materials, and maintaining donor records for a non-profit organization.

Personal

Lisa and her husband Bill live in Duluth and have two adult daughters. She is active in their local church and sings in the choir. She also serves on the ministry team and provides communication support for a local non-profit organization.
